1. Offset printing (lithographic printing): Offset printing is a kind of lithographic printing. It uses a pre-coated photosensitive plate. The graphics on the printing plate are first printed on the intermediate carrier (blanket cylinder) and then transferred to the substrate. Indirect printing is the most commonly used printing method at present. Lithographic printing is a printing method in which the printing part and the non-printing part of the printing plate are on the same plane. The printing plate includes a hydrophobic and oleophobic graphic part and a hydrophilic and oleophobic blank part. When printing, water is applied first, and then ink is applied. In this way, only the hydrophilic blank part of the wetted printing plate accepts water, while the hydrophobic part accepts water. The graphic and text part of the printing plate is not wetted. After the ink is applied, the blank part of the printing plate has absorbed water and can no longer adhere to the ink. Only the hydrophobic graphic and text part on the layout accepts the ink. Contact pressure printing, transfer the ink to the substrate to get the printed product.
Features: rich layers, delicate colors, high precision, fast printing speed.
Disadvantages: easy to have color difference, easy to fade when exposed to sunlight, thin ink layer and lack of texture.
2. Letterpress printing: All printing is prominent, and the non-printed part is four-sided, which is called letterpress printing. Letterpress mainly includes: movable type, paper type, lead plate, thin lead plate, electroplated lead plate, zinc plate, plastic plate, photosensitive resin plate, pre-coated photosensitive plate, rubber plate, flexographic plate, etc.
Features: strong expressive force, thick ink layer, rich tones, strong color reproduction, long plate life, large printing volume, low requirements for paper printing materials, low cost of flexographic plate making, and flexible production.
Disadvantages: metal plate making is complicated, the plate making cycle is long, the plate making cost is high, and it is not suitable for small amount printing.
3. Gravure printing: The printing method of printing with gravure is called four-plate printing. The printing plate whose graphic part is lower than the blank part is called intaglio. There are engraving gravure, hand engraving gravure, electron beam engraving gravure, laser engraving gravure, photographic gravure, dot gravure, etching gravure, carbon paper corrosion four plates, spray glue corrosion gravure and so on. Hand-engraved gravure is a relatively ancient printing technique, mainly used for fine prints such as banknotes, securities, stamps or some demanding prints. A special gravure printing machine and hand-engraved plate-making must be used. The cost of plate-making is high and the time is long. The cost of plate-making and printing is higher than that of flat printing. For the other four editions, the plate-making process is more complicated and the cost is more expensive. They are not suitable for printing a small number of prints, and are mostly used for printing exquisite color packaging bags and luxury color magazines.
Features: thick ink layer, bright colors, high saturation, more substrates, long printing plate life, fast printing speed.
Disadvantages: complex plate making, long plate making cycle, high cost of plate making.
4. Screen printing: The printing plate is in the shape of a mesh, and the layout is composed of two parts: through holes and non-through holes. During printing, the ink is squeezed by the squeegee, and the ink is leaked from the through holes of the screen to the missing print on the substrate. Way. Screen printing involves a wide range of fields and various printing materials. It is widely used in printing and processing various signs, labels, packaging containers, large posters, clothing, small electronic components, etc. Substrates mainly involve paper (board), glass, metal, plastic, fabric, etc.
Advantages: Due to its low production cost and low quantity requirements, screen printing can print on almost any surface with a wide range of substrates.
Disadvantages: suitable for monochrome printing, not suitable for color printing, the layers are not delicate, not suitable for gradient color printing.
